2025.05.17-tactor-repair-invoice ================================ [IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING TODAY'S STORIES SOLICITING DONATIONS FOR THE TILT SQUEEZE IS THIS STORY ABOUT THE COST OF TRACTOR REPAIRS] STATIC TEXT: The ole tractor is ready to rock!! MICHAEL: Allrighty. Just got the David Brown 990 loaded. Had it here at Grassland Equipment. All winter. They rebuilt the clutch. Did some fuel system work. Some electrical work. Replaced the seat, because the other one was shoddy. And, uh, it's a 1976. New tractors are over 100 grand. So, bought this one in 2012 for $7,600. Probably put $3,000 in it since then. And just dropped a whopping, what does that say, [invoice shows $7,948.67], eight grand. And that's what it takes to to run the ranch and do hay and stuff, guys. It's, uh, that's why we fundraise for horses. That's a completely different budget. Everything for the horses is pretty much fundraise driven. The rest of this, we take it on the chin. That's an expensive rig, but quite a workhorse. So, glad to have the primary tractor back. Hay season 2025 here we come. (Transcribed by TurboScribe.ai)
